Financial Controller

Jade Transport is in a period of growth offering the opportunity to be a part of new and exciting initiatives.

The opportunity is one that blends the structure of regular monthly reporting with the variety of analytical and strategic tasks as directed by management. The successful candidate would lead a team of 6 long-term staff with well defined and structured responsibilities, but also have a voice cross-functionally among mid-management and across the organization.

Specific Qualifications and Attributes

• CPA member in good standing. Jade Transport is proud to support a successful candidate ongoing CPD as approved by management.
• Character – An individual who can lead a cohesive team, navigate complex issues to do what is right, remain cool under pressure, and exercise good decision making.
• Implementation – The ability to implement new initiatives among departments and or company wide thoughtfully, accurately and effectively.
• Strong technical understanding of Microsoft Office and other technology platforms. A curious mindset toward leveraging technology to create efficiency and effectiveness.
• Strong technical accounting, and financial reporting skills that provide meaningful insights about what is important to the organization, its financial performance, or good decision making. Understanding of corporate tax would be an asset, but can be developed over time too.
