Job Description

This is a combination of an early morning dock person and a Class 1 delivery driver, starting time of 4 AM or 6 AM, depending on freight volumes, for an average of 9 hours a day. Sunday to Thursday. Flexibility required.

The first few hours are spent on the dock stripping inbound trailers, using a handheld device to track and note damages and shortages, and securely loading local delivery trailers and 5‑ton trucks. Cubing and reweighing freight, starting heaters, and placarding trailers as required.

Pre‑trip and post‑trip of the truck, delivery and pick‑up freight as required.

Qualifications

• Class 1 license with 1 year of experience
• 1 year of dock and forklift experience
• Physically fit, able to repetitively lift 50 lbs
• Must be punctual and have a good attendance record
• TDG, WHMIS experience are assets
• Must be able to provide a criminal record check, driver’s abstract, and 2 work‑related references.
