As the  Assistant Vice President of Business Performance and Insights , you will play an integral role in enabling the organization to meet its strategic objectives by leading the COO’s business performance measurement strategy. Your mission will be to elevate this process by harnessing data driven decision making to encourage the right behaviors and enhance business performance throughout the COO team. To this end, you will be an important asset in the prioritization and business unit planning processes to align performance metrics with COO organizational priorities.

You will lead a driven team of seasoned professionals and leaders that provide a clear line of sight into BDC’s results, the trajectory of our business, and how we will optimize our resources to achieve the Corporate Plan. As the COO’S single point of contact for D&A, the Business Performance and Insights team proactively empowers the organization by defining performance metric strategies based on trusted data, relevant analytical tools, data fluency and curated insights. Moreover, you will lead our business strategy to integrate AI into our ways of working to generate value, increase productivity and enhance entrepreneur and employee experience. Our impact is to embed performance and insights into key business processes to foster a discipline of data driven decision making to enable the COO organization to achieve its corporate objectives.

The successful candidate will report to the Senior Vice President of Sales Enablement and Operations Support. They will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and the leadership team to define analytical solutions for the COO. Additionally, they will ensure that teams and related stakeholders have the necessary performance guidelines, targets, analytical tools, and insights to make informed decisions in managing the COO team and meeting our business objectives.

Challenges | Key responsibilities

Lead the COO business performance, defining and setting the performance measurement strategy, budget, targets, and communication tools for all business units.

Drive the Corporate Planning processes and oversee its execution through operational, financial, and customer service performance; recommend mitigation actions as required.

Cultivate esteemed advisory relationships within the COOLT and across the organization with key strategic partners, ensuring robust and enduring relationships to establish operational alignment

Develop performance targets for the COO LT, influence decision making and navigate complex stakeholder relationships and negotiations to enable the COO team to set and achieve Corporate Plan objectives, including allocation of resources, revenue targets, portfolio growth, etc.

Design, implement and communicate performance guidelines and metrics across the COO organization, providing the right tools to effectively implement and measure business performance of the ‘what’ and the ‘how’

Actively contribute to the definition of the COO scorecard and its performance objectives and manage the year-end variable pay allocation process

Play an integral role in the prioritization and annual business unit planning exercise to align performance targets and measurement strategy with COO strategic objectives

Act as a strategic advisor to the COO LT, overseeing our monthly performance and recommend next-best action to achieve strategic objectives.

Oversee our governance calendar and lead the production of high quality and timely business deliverables, analysis and insights for the COO, including the COO dashboard, Report on business to the Board of Directors, etc.

Be the D&A single point of contact for the COO, act as a catalyst simplifying support pathways, promoting interdepartmental partnership

Lead the analytics team to conduct complex data analysis that will provide actionable insights into business performance, customer behaviors, market trends, and operational efficiency.

Present analytical findings and strategic recommendations to stakeholders and executive leadership in a clear and compelling manner.

Oversee the design, development and operationalization of dashboards and periodic operational reports and, perform a business diagnostic identifying trends, root-causes and recommend mitigating actions to the COO LT

Drive the adoption of analytics and business intelligence tools across the organization to foster a data-driven culture.

What we are looking for

Education : Possess a bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field, with a master’s degree or MBA highly regarded.

Industry Experience : Bring a minimum of 10 years of expertise in banking, performance measurement, and project management.

Leadership Tenure : Minimum 5 years of leadership experience, guiding teams to success.

Impact Orientation : A track record of being results-driven, consistently delivering quantifiable and significant impact.

Innovation and Proactivity : Exhibit a forward-thinking mindset, proactively seeking and implementing improvements.
