Location : District position, Frank J. Mitchell Elementary School, Sparwood, BC

Contract Type : Full-time Temporary (1.0 FTE)

Salary Range : The starting annual salary for this teaching position ranges from $63,357 to $112,345, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

• Preference will be given to applicants with BC Teacher Certification.
• Must have a degree / formal training and / or teaching experience in subjects and at a level specific to each

posting.

Job Summary :

Counsellor - Elementary Grades K-6

1.0 FTE temporary contract, starting February 18, 2026 or upon completion of the posting process to June 25, 2026.

This is a District position, and will support Frank J. Mitchell Elementary School in the community of Sparwood, BC. Please note that all work will be on site.

Please note : Continuing teachers will need to vacate their continuing assignment in order to accept a temporary assignment, unless the FTE is greater in the temporary job posting.
