Registered Veterinary Technician

Location : Newmarket, ON

Department : Avian and Exotics

404 Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital welcomes an experienced, full time, Registered Veterinary Technician, RVT to join our Avian and Exotics referral service. You will work closely with and be supported by not only our three Zoological Companion Animal specialists, but also by our entire 404 team of Technicians, Assistants, Anesthesiologists and Surgeons. We pride ourselves on our team-centred philosophy and are looking for someone to join our growing family.

Have completed a Veterinary Technician program and registered with OAVT.

Avian and exotics experience is essential

New grads with knowledge of physical examinations, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy - welcome to apply! We love growing new graduates!

Surgical preparation, assisting and patient recovery.

Ability to keep detailed and accurate patient records.

Compassionate care for our hospitalized patients and their pet parents

Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Strong problem-solving aptitude, including the ability to ask clarifying questions to facilitate effective solution-finding

Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues and pet parents.
