Production Technician

The Production Associate demonstrates the ability to perform daily production activities in multiple production areas to assist with the constant change in production needs. This person will perform various duties, including but not limited to; machine and job set-up, machine operating, assembly work, verification of order completeness, packaging and / or shipping duties.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Gains technical understanding of how each material and product are produced, and how to manufacture each product.
• Understands how each machine in their learned areas run to be able to troubleshoot when problems arise.
• Communicates with other employees and customers in a calm and professional manner; and listens well.
• Performs routine machine maintenance and minor repairs when necessary
• Works effectively on different projects simultaneously.
• Comply with relevant safety requirements.
• Keep the production area neat, clean and organized.
• Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS :

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT :

Must be able to lift 25 pounds and work on feet entire shift. Safety equipment is to be worn in required areas. Work hours are generally during normal business hours and average at least 40 per week, some additional hours required when production demand is at high levels.
