Hays has partnered with a local small – mid size who are looking for a Junior or Intermediate Architectural Technologist to join their unique team. With over 20 years in the industry, specializing in a diverse range of projects, including Healthcare, Institutional, Commercial, and public projects (CBE and Prisons). Responsibilities:
- Coordinate design and technical information with project managers, clients, public agencies, consultants, and contractors to support seamless project execution
- Collaborate closely with the design team to develop detailed design concepts and translate them into clear, concise Design and Construction Documents
- Review building products and conduct building code analyses, integrating findings into technical documentation
- Produce detailed drawings that meet industry standards and applicable code requirements
- Work directly with internal team members and external consultants to deliver high‑quality, well‑coordinated project documents
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of professional experience, must be familiar with local code and bylaw
- Architectural Technology Diploma or equivalent
- Hands‑on experience with small‑ and large‑scale healthcare, institutional, and public sector projects is considered an asset
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to thrive in fast‑paced environments, manage competing priorities, and consistently meet strict deadlines
- A proactive, solutions‑oriented team player who is eager to grow professionally, open to learning new areas of the industry, and committed to delivering high‑quality work from day one
The successful candidate will receive a competitive base salary of $60,000-70,000 (dependent on experience) + bonus, health spending accounts, 2 weeks starting vacation and gas or milage coverage.
