Description
A Business Relationship Senior Manager (BRM) is responsible for fostering strong relationships between IT and the rest of the organization and its leaders. In this role, the BRM will act as a trusted advisor and work closely with internal businesses to understand their needs and align them with the capabilities and services offered by IT. Through effective communication and collaboration, the BRM will support business growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and promote long-term partnerships.
Reporting to the Global Director, Planning and Project Services (PPS), the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a pre-defined list of client supporting or internal services suite of Portfolios. As Business Relationship Management is a fairly new capability within the organization, the BRM will also work closely with the PPS leader in the implementation of Business Relationship Management best practices. This role may eventually lead to People Leadership responsibilities for either current or future members of the IT PPS team. This role is based On-site at our Mississauga , ON work location.

1. Business Relationship Management focus -
Develop and grow relationships with senior management “to achieve a seat at the table”.Collaborate with business leaders to understand their business objectives and identify opportunities to determine how best technology can enable the achievement of their business objectives.Key point of contact to facilitate communication and coordination between internal teams and external partners, when required, to ensure alignment of goals and priorities.Play an advisory and liaison role between client and technology teams.Develop a deep understanding of the business group strategies to support and drive priorities within the portfolio.Assist the business in developing business cases, value and benefit realization plans.Support the development of a technology strategy and, technology future state to meet the needs of the business.Identify portfolio level risks, cross-portfolio dependencies and, resolve issues and competing priorities within the portfolio.Support annual and ongoing intake prioritization and documentation of requests that are aligned to the business priorities while also considering IT resources and other initiatives.Work closely with business leaders to understand the people, processes, and technology that enable the organization’s capabilities as part of the project request submission process.Serve as an escalation point for change requests unresolved by projects and, attending steering committees.Develop and own key portfolio deliverables such as portfolio roadmaps, account plans, project initiation documents and other necessary tools to enable decision-making and project delivery transition.Monitor and evaluate the health of the portfolio of projects and support the business case process for any net new business requests.Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities that may impact business priorities and force IT to respond accordingly.Continuously strive to enhance the value proposition of our partnerships, seeking innovative ways to meet the evolving needs of our clients and stakeholders.Co-lead the implementation of Business Relationship Management Processes and establish the appropriate interaction models within IT and with the business.2. Coach and develop members of the team. Help to identify gaps across IT teams that may impact the execution of the BRM mandate, make recommendations, and help recruit and onboard new members of the BRM team.Build and maintain high-performing teams who are dedicated and experienced in their craft and bring out their best through servant leadership. Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering) required; Masters degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) preferred.Proven experience in business relationship management, program management and project managementStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and negotiate effectively.Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities for business growth and partnership development.Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, evaluate performance metrics, and make data-driven decisions.Solid understanding of enterprise applications including ERP, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Distribution & Retail, Warehouse Management, CRM, Enterprise Content Management, Financial / Corporate Performance Management, BI & Analytics, EDI and E-commerce would be considered an assetProficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, ServiceNow, Planview).Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.WORK AUTHORIZATIONS AND TRAVEL;
