Stantec’s Environmental Services business line is growing its presence in the Quebec mining sector. As a Senior Hydrogeologist, you will play a key role in a wide variety of mining projects and must be able to work within multidisciplinary teams on projects through each phase of mine life (baseline and impact assessment projects, feasibility studies, hydrogeological assessments, etc). The role will involve managing a multi-discipline scope of work within a team of hydrologists, hydrogeologists, and geochemists and interacting directly with clients. Strong quantitative hydrogeology skills are required with the ability to interact with groundwater modelling and geochemical specialists.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to mining projects within multidisciplinary teams across all project phases (baseline, impact assessment, feasibility, hydrogeological assessments).
• Manage multi-discipline scopes of work and interact directly with clients.
• Apply strong quantitative hydrogeology skills and engage with groundwater modelling and geochemical specialists.
• Demonstrate initiative, drive a positive work environment, and mentor junior to mid-level staff.
• Coordinate field work including drilling and aquifer testing (packer tests) when required.
