Resource Centre Coordinator – Vocational Services

The Resource Centre Coordinator supports the delivery of Lifemark’s Vocational Services programs by maintaining an organized, accessible, and up-to-date resource hub for job seekers. This role focuses on helping participants identify suitable employment and training opportunities aligned with their skills, experience, and goals, while ensuring current labour market and community resource information is readily available.
Working closely with Career Counsellors and Facilitators, the Resource Centre Coordinator assists with participant scheduling, resource navigation, and the delivery of computer skills workshops. This position plays a key role in ensuring participants are well-supported with tools, information, and practical guidance to successfully engage in vocational programming and move toward employment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize vocational, employment, training, and community resource materials for program participants
- Research and track current labour market information, job trends, training providers, and community supports relevant to program participants
- Support job seekers in identifying suitable employment and training opportunities aligned with their skills, experience, and interests
- Assist with computer skills workshops and resource-based group sessions under the direction of Career Counsellors and Facilitators
- Support participant intake, screening, and eligibility documentation as required
- Coordinate participant schedules, appointments, and access to program resources
- Prepare and update resource materials, job postings, workshop handouts, and participant tools
- Maintain accurate and timely participant records in accordance with program standards, templates, and contractual requirements
- Provide administrative and clerical support, including material preparation, ordering supplies, and resource centre organization
- Support communication with participants, internal team members, employers, training providers, and community partners
- Ensure effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary vocational services team
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Social Sciences or a related field (e.g., Community Rehabilitation, Vocational Rehabilitation, Psychology, Social Work, Education) preferredExperience supporting career and employment services, vocational programming, case management, or government‑funded programs considered an assetStrong organizational, coordination, and administrative skillsIntermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and online platformsFamiliarity with job search platforms and social media tools such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and other employment‑related resourcesAbility to support group learning environments and assist with workshops across varying levels of ability and digital literacyStrong interpersonal and teamwork skillsDemonstrated understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity and inclusive practiceInclusion
