Choose us!

At Natural Resources Canada, a Federal government job means developing leadership skills, fostering teamwork, and supporting creativity and innovation. The Canada Centre or Mapping and Earth Observation (CCMEO) Natural Resources Canada is a dynamic, multidisciplinary, data-driven organization that must be provided by a horizontal pan-Canadian leader with a political subject and geospatial programs.

We are passionate about what we do! We provide Canadians with reliable data on Canada's land, water and infrastructure. We manage Canada's national geospatial data infrastructure and empower federal departments to use reliable geospatial data to fulfill their mandate.

We use every day in our work innovative technologies, tools and scientific and technical applications. We use satellite imagery and ground receiving stations to obtain data so that economists, modellers, and data specialists can access and explore large amounts of data for deeper models and analysis. This is made possible through the use of the latest data visualization techniques, artificial intelligence and machine learning.

We strongly believe in work-life balance and many of our employees choose to work flexibly or flexibly. The team is very close. Whether at our weekly after-work meetings, our annual barbecue or other meetings throughout the year, when the work is done, we always enjoy spending time together!

As part of our team, you will work creatively with like-minded professionals who are proud to help Canadians get solid information and data about the communities in which they live, work and raise their families.

Intent of the process

Candidates may be referred from this inventory for various positions based on the needs of the organization, asset qualifications, or random selection. The inventory will be updated every 90 days. If your application is part of the inventory, you will receive a system generated email notice in your applicant account 14 days before that period. The notice will ask you whether your application should continue to remain active for an additional 90 days. Failure to respond to the email will result in the inactivation of your application. You will need to reactivate your application to be considered for staffing opportunities.

The inclusion of your application into the inventory will depend on the responses provided to the questionnaire. The information you provide in the questionnaire must be true. Your résumé will be verified by Natural Resources Canada staff during the referral of your application to a hiring manager. You must ensure that all of the experience criteria you identify in the questionnaire are included in your résumé.
