Overview

Red Deer Regional Health Centre offers an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse / Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RN / RPN) in a very busy Adult Psychiatry Unit. The RN / RPN is a front‑line nursing role providing clinical intervention and treatment to patients experiencing mental health crisis and works collaboratively with physicians, staff, management, and community partners across Red Deer and rural sites within the Central Zone.

Description

As an RN / RPN you will :

• Provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, ensuring their safety and well‑being.
• Utilize nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, and teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families.
• Lead an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance.
• Deliver safe, quality, patient‑ and family‑centered care aligned with Alberta Health Services values.

Provisional permit holders will earn $39.58 – $54.16 per hour. Upon obtaining a full licence, the rate will adjust to the applicable registered nurse rate per UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii).
