What it’s like to be a Northbridge Associate Underwriter?

The Associate Underwriter is responsible for overseeing or assisting with the underwriting and management of assigned accounts in accordance with established guidelines and operational objectives, while ensuring compliance with national standards related to underwriting practices, data quality, and service level agreements. They work under close supervision or mentorship and within the limits of their authority level.

Our Associate Underwriters are experts in their field who continuously strive to enhance their skills and are committed to maintaining strong relationships with our broker partners. This means they respond promptly to emails and calls and regularly schedule meetings with them. As part of a collaborative team, you will benefit from coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities provided by our more experienced underwriters to help you further expand your knowledge of various risk types..

If you are great at:

• Underwrite commercial insurance policies

• Solve problems and demonstrate critical thinking

• Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships

If you have:

• AEC or DEC in Commercial Insurance (completed within the past year or currently in progress), or relevant experience

• Customer service experience

• Strong team spirit
