Accounting Coordinator

DF Barnes is a diversified industrial services company operating across Atlantic Canada and beyond. Our LCR Plus division supports industrial, mining, and construction operations in Labrador West with a strong focus on safety, service, and operational excellence.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Finance team, the Accounting Coordinator will provide day-to-day accounting and administrative support. This role is responsible for accurate data entry, payroll support, accounts payable and receivable processing, purchasing coordination, and general accounting duties. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Use Syspro Accounting Software to open, update, and close requested jobs
• Process accounts payable including invoice matching, coding, and approvals
• Process accounts receivable including project changes, and invoicing
• Maintain vendor and customer records in accounting systems
• Coordinate purchasing activities including purchase order creation, tracking, and filing
• Collaborate closely with the LCR office team and the Finance team to support accurate and timely operations
• Support month-end activities in a timely manner
• Respond to internal and external accounting-related inquiries
• Provide administrative and accounting support to the LCR office as required
• Other duties as assigned
