VP/Director of Finance

Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Director of Finance. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills as part of the management team. What you get to do every day - Establish short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures - Analyze monthly operating performance against budget - Hire and train employees, especially finance staff, and manage retention - Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts - Analyze and monitor forecasting and budgeting models - Create and manage five-year business plans along with department managers - Perform financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions - Oversee the preparation of all financial reports - Take ownership of insurance and risk management - Propose benchmarks for analyzing financial and operating performance - Implement and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives - Direct, review, and prepare financial planning and budget management functions - Supervise all operations of the finance and accounting department - Comply with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements - 10+ years of accounting and finance experience - CPA required with MBA (definite asset) - Experience with multiple accounting and financial reporting systems - Very detail oriented and expert analytical thinking skills - Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting, accounting, and finance principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles - Proficient in Microsoft Excel - Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
