Our client is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead all financial affairs for their Canadian manufacturing operations, based out of their Lethbridge facility. This role acts as a strategic business partner to the Plant Manager and plays a key role in supporting operational and financial decision‑making. Compensation & Hours
The rate of pay will be $150K / year plus bonusMonday through Friday, daytime hours with occasional overtime expectationsPosition Summary
Lead financial compliance and reporting, including GAAP (U.S. & Canadian), tax filings, payroll, and regulatory requirementsPartner with the leadership team to support strategic planning, business growth, and continuous improvement initiativesBuild, mentor, and develop a high‑performing accounting team, including performance management and succession planningOversee core accounting operations, including AR / AP, general ledger, reconciliations, payroll across multiple provinces, and month‑end / year‑end closeManage financial forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and analytical reporting to support informed business decisionsEstablish, maintain, and audit strong financial controls, processes, and documentation to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and complianceRequired Qualifications
CPA designationMinimum post‑secondary education of bachelor’s degree in finance or accountingMinimum of 10 years of finance or accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing settingMinimum of 5 years of controller experience, preferably within a manufacturing settingStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead, influence, and collaborate effectivelyProven organizational, time‑management, and analytical skills with a sharp eye for detailAdvanced problem‑solving abilities, including root‑cause analysis and familiarity with lean management principlesSolid financial acumen, including GAAP (Canada & U.S.), forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reportingHigh level of technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other reporting toolsSelf‑starter mindset with a demonstrated ability to seek improvements, support internal audits, and thrive in a manufacturing or standard‑costing environmentBonus Points For
