Red Deer County is seeking a Gravel Assistant to support our road maintenance operations during the graveling season. This is your chance to play a vital role in keeping our roads in top condition for residents and visitors alike!

What You’ll Do

• Inspect and verify gravel delivery and spreading on Red Deer County roads.
• Measure gravel depth and ensure proper compaction to meet specifications.
• Record and report daily quantities, locations, and contractor performance.
• Communicate with contractors and County staff to resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor road conditions and identify areas needing additional gravel or maintenance.
• Maintain accurate logs and submit reports as required.
• Operate County vehicles and equipment for inspections.
• Uphold safety standards and policies.
