The Valleyview Health Centre is actively hiring a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist II (CLXT II). Take on this opportunity to mentor and supervise the day‑to‑day operation of department staff and services within your area. You will coordinate, organize and manage the site Laboratory and Diagnostic Imaging departments, ensuring a customer‑service‑focused approach and building respectful, productive relationships with patients and colleagues. The role involves routine physical demands (walking, standing, bending, lifting, prolonged computer use) and may require shifts across a variety of times.

Description :

As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist II, you will direct and supervise the day‑to‑day operation of department staff and services in their area. You will be responsible for the coordination, organization and operation of the site Laboratory and Diagnostic Imaging departments, performing site‑specific manual and automated laboratory procedures, diagnostic imaging exams, cardiology procedures and related duties following established standards and practice defined by the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X‑Ray Technologists (ACCLXT), College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) and Health Professions Act.

Required Qualifications :

Completion of a diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X‑ray Technologists (ACCLXT).

Additional Required Qualifications :

Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel. Highly organized, with strong attention to detail, good judgment and proven communication skills that enable collaborative work within a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

A minimum of three years CLXT experience, preferably in a rural setting. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS‑HCP) certification preferred.
