What will you do :
- Sample asphalt soils concrete gravel and other related materials
- Perform inspections of asphalt and concrete plants that are producing materials for use on City of Edmonton construction projects
- Perform field coring on asphalt mixes for thickness and compaction determination
- Complete preventative maintenance and ensure all equipment is properly maintained to ensure it is in good and safe working order
- Operate field and laboratory test equipment
- Record test results and prepare standard test reports
- Perform all duties in accordance with provincial and municipal Occupational Health & Safety regulations
- Perform other related duties as required

The weekly hours of work for this position are currently under review and may change at a future time. Hours of Work : 40 hours per week Sunday-Saturday 24 / 7 coverage. Applicants may be required to work shift work on short notice holidays and after hours and early morning shifts as required to fulfill operational requirements
