Job Title: Legal Technology Analyst
Job Location: Toronto, Canada (Hybrid)
Job Duration: 6 months on T4 Job Description: This position will support the Legal Technology Solutions Lead in executing technology initiatives, maintaining legal platforms, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Working under the direction of the Legal Technology Solutions Lead, you will assist with platform administration, documentation, testing, training, and cross-functional coordination to drive efficiency across the Legal department. You will collaborate closely with Legal Operations management, IT, vendors, attorneys, and professional staff to support the implementation of technology-driven solutions.
Where You'll Provide Support: Support Workflow Optimization: Assist in analyzing existing legal workflows and help implement technology-based solutions as directed.
Enable Automation Initiatives: Support the deployment of AI tools and automation to improve productivity.
Maintain Platform Operations: Assist with the administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of core legal tech platforms, including Ironclad, DocuSign, Onit, and JIRA.
Support Analytics & Reporting: Help build and maintain dashboards that track KPIs, technology adoption, and tool performance.
Facilitate Collaboration: Support cross-functional alignment with IT, Finance, and other teams to ensure smooth technology operations.
Assist Knowledge Management: Help maintain document management systems and knowledge-sharing tools.
What You'll Do: - Platform Administration Support: Assist with configuration, maintenance, and security for Ironclad (CLM), Onit (matter management), Legal Tracker (e-billing), JIRA, and related tools under the guidance of the Legal Technology Solutions Lead.
Requirements Documentation: - Support requirements gathering activities by documenting business needs, creating process flows, and maintaining technical specifications.
Access Management: - Manage user provisioning, role-based access controls, and security permissions across legal technology platforms.
Leverage AI for Efficiency: - Utilize AI tools and assistants to accelerate documentation, automate repetitive workflows, enhance data analysis, and deliver results faster without compromising quality.
Reporting Assistance: - Help design and maintain dashboards that track KPIs, tech adoption metrics, outside counsel spend, accruals, and budget forecasts; provide regular reporting support.
Implementation Support: - Assist with technology implementation projects by coordinating tasks, tracking timelines, and supporting vendor relationships.
Testing Coordination: - Design test scenarios, coordinate business acceptance testing and UAT activities, and document results to ensure quality delivery.
Vendor Coordination: - Serve as a point of contact with technology vendors for issue resolution and routine requests; escalate complex matters as needed.
Training & Enablement Support: - Prepare training materials, deliver demos and training sessions, and create self-service resources to help users adopt legal technology effectively; provide UAT support.
Project Coordination: - Support project activities by managing timelines, coordinating resources, and tracking deliverables. Operational Support: Assist with day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements: Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree required 5+ years of experience in a law firm, corporate legal IT department, or Legal Services provider in a legal tech - business system analyst capacity Ironclad experience is required.
- Demonstrated experience administering legal software and knowledge-management tools.
- Hands-on configuration and support experience with at least two of the following: Ironclad (mandatory), Onit, DocuSign, JIRA, or similar CLM/Legal spend management platforms.
- Proven ability to gather and document business requirements and support technical implementations.
- Proficient in leveraging AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity) to expedite work, automate tasks, and deliver high-quality results efficiently.
- Experience conducting business acceptance testing and coordinating UAT activities.
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including vendor coordination.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and support concurrent projects.
- Clear and concise interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Self-starter who can work independently while taking direction from leadership.
