WE ARE LOOKING FOR A valet attendant

An exciting opportunity within our Front Office as a Valet Attendant.

Please join our Front Office team as a Valet. The Valet attendant is responsible for creating a positive first and last impression for guests arriving and departing from the hotel. This may include assisting the passengers during the loading and unloading process. Their primary responsibility is to safely and efficiently relocate guest automobiles to designated parking locations. You will actively contribute to the seamless operation of the front office, ensuring guests feel welcome and their vehicles are handled with care.

What is expected of me in this role?

Customer Service:

• Greet guests with professionalism and courtesy upon their arrival.

• Provide efficient and safe valet services for guests' vehicles.

• Assist guests with information about local attractions and hotel services.

• Communicate effectively with guests and internal teams to ensure a coordinated and efficient valet service.

• Provide information about parking rates, policies, and hotel facilities

• Stay informed about hotel events, promotions, and guest services.

Operational & Financial

• Receive and park guests' vehicles in a safe and organized manner.

• Retrieve guests' vehicles promptly and accurately upon request.

• Maintain cleanliness and orders in the valet area as well as keeping the keys safe and organized.

• Collect valet parking fees and accurately record transactions.

• Assist in managing valet parking revenue and related financial details

Security and Safety:

• Ensure the security of guests' vehicles and report any concerns promptly.

• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents.

Working Conditions:

• This role involves standing for extended periods and occasional outdoor work.

• While performing the duties of this job, the colleague is regularly required to sit; stand; bend; walk; use hands or finger; or feel objects, tools or controls; may need to lift boxes (up to 20 lbs);

• Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, are based on the hotel's operational needs.

Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in hospitality management is a plus.

• Proven experience as a valet attendant or in a similar role

• Excellent customer service skills with a strong ability to resolve issues effectively.

• Proficient in using valet management software and basic computer applications.

• Valid Ontario driver's license and clean driving record/abstract.
