Main Purpose and Function
To manage the effective implementation of the City and Park Boards Attendance Management Program (AMP). The incumbent is expected to lead the analysis of data, develop, and deliver metrics, reports and presentations along with recommendations to support managers and supervisors in addressing all possible actions to minimize attendance management issues. To provide training and support to managers / supervisors to ensure they understand their responsibility for the implementation and management of the AMP. To support managers / supervisors in the development and tracking of attendance management objectives in staff annual performance plans. To assist in the development and delivery of presentations regarding the AMP to new employees, managers / supervisors and other internal staff. To establish close links and good working relationships with managers / supervisors, unions and other appropriate officers throughout the City and the Park Board. As well, this position is responsible to integrate the AMP with other key attendance initiatives such as Disability Management, Stay at Work / Early Return to Work, and WorkSafeBC.

Where operationally appropriate and subject to change, the City of Vancouver has a Flexible Work Program. This program allows staff to work remotely 1 – 4 days a week from locations that are a daily commutable distance from their work at a City worksite. At this time this position is eligible to be part of the Flexible Work Program.
