Job Summary
- Part‑time position requiring weekend and evening hours (4:00‑8:00 pm)
- Mix of in‑person clinic work, school‑based care, and some virtual care
- Provides comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions to children with a variety of occupational performance issues
- Follows evidence‑based approaches to assessment and treatment
- Provides education and feedback to families
- Communicates effectively and maintains relationships with referring physicians, healthcare providers and other relevant community stakeholders
- Manages a varied caseload and meets required timelines
- Maintains complete and accurate medical records using an electronic system
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy with experience in paediatric assessment and treatment
- Registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)
Experience/Skills
- Minimum of three years of experience preferred
- Strong proficiency in assessment and evidence‑based occupational therapy interventions with children; experience treating the following areas is an asset:
- Feeding
- Fine motor
- Sensory processing
- Self‑regulation
- Motor planning
- Experience providing care virtually
- Proven ability to work as a member of a multi‑disciplinary team
- Utilizes critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
- Efficient time management and organizational skills required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English required; proficiency in French is an asset
