Municipal Law Enforcement Officer – General Duty Officer

REPORTS TO : Supervisor of Enforcement and Regulatory Services

LOCATION : Initial placement - Burford Office

Minimum Qualifications :

• Post-secondary education in Police Foundations or equivalent
• 2 years of relevant law enforcement experience
• Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to interact with the public positively while exercising sound judgment and discretion while complying with all applicable privacy legislation.
• Ability to organize work and resources in a fast- paced environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other software applications
• Demonstrated safe work practices and working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Valid class G drivers license with acceptable drivers abstract and satisfactory police records check

Annual Salary Range : $68760 - $80426 (Job Grade 5) 35 hours per week
