Job Description
The Manufacturing IS Business Analyst serves as the link between our information technology solutions and
manufacturing business process owners through active support of existing systems and applications, as well as
analyzing and determining changes required to support new requirements. This role is based out of the Safran
Landing Systems Toronto (Ajax, ON) site. Canadian Security Clearance is required.
Complementary Description
A degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science or Engineering from an accredited organization
Additional IT certifications from Microsoft, Cisco or CompTIA are nice-to-have's.
3-5 years of experience in Business, Systems Analysis and / or IT operations
Experience working in an engineering / manufacturing environment
Possesses a broad general knowledge of IT / IS systems - servers, networking, applications, client devices
Experienced working within a IT / IS team environment.
Skilled in use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
Experienced responding to and resolving L1-2-3 IT helpdesk tickets for supported applications and systems
Has experience with many of these or similar processes :
machining, surface finishing, mechanical assembly
SCADA systems (PLC, CNC, DNS interfaces)
machine / shop floor networks, firewalls, OPC-UA, MQTT / pub-sub
quality management tools

CAD (AutoCAD)
CAM (MEDS, build-management and tracking tools)
Machining simulation tools (NC SIMUL, VERICUT, POWERMILL)
Quality management software, auditing and monitoring
CMM / measurement (Gedix, Metrolog, CAMPOST, PC-DMIS)
License management (FlexLM)
Pro-actively monitors and engages with key users, SME's and business process owners
Experienced creating business process flows, value-stream maps & related analysis documentation
Coordinates with IS and business Project Managers to track task completion
Performs change management activities for all supported systems and applications.
Develops working relationships with IS team, business owners, vendors and corporate functional leadership
Reports on sources of technical issues or questions raised, and makes recommendations to IS and Business teams
Maintains and manages software licensing for the software and systems responsible for at the site-level
Supports all IT security-related activities and processes
Canadian Security Clearance is required.
