AtkinsRéalis is hiring an Assistant Project Manager based in Toronto, ON! The APM will support various projects within the Greater Toronto Area and throughout Canada.

Your role within the team:

• Support all aspects of the project life cycle, “Capture to Closure including archiving”, as required working collaboratively with the project team.
• Ensure the QMS is followed regarding Project Management duties.
• Track project progress (WIP/AR) and provide regular status updates to the PM which includes scheduling periodic meetings with the PM to review project overall status.
• Prepare regular (weekly/monthly) reports – cost, schedule, scope, quality.
• Set up budget, schedule, and deliverables tracking and assist PM to track changes to scope / budget / deliverables.
• Work with PMs to schedule staff for execution of work and update monthly project forecasts and incoicing, utilize tools to complete planned value, earned value, and actual costs accrued to the project as needed
• Support PM with sub-consulting management/subcontracting process/equipment procurement including preparation of project Purchase Order Request’s and Change Orders, document, and file authorizations, including with project meeting schedules, communicating meeting agendas, and taking meeting minutes add perform other duties as the PM may deem necessary.
• Business development support as required including supporting Capture management activities, Class 1 & 2 proposals and creation of RFP content as required.

The ideal candidate:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a project environment or equivalent. Post-secondary education in related field is an asset.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite. along with working knowledge of project management software, including Project Partners, Oracle, EcoSys.
• Competent communication skills – both oral and written.
• Analytical problem-solving skills and critical thinker with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Competent organization skills with the ability to prioritize competing task and change priorities to meet group needs.
