➨ Position Title : Maintenance Tradesperson

Responsibilities : The role involves providing general maintenance (corrective and preventive), construction work and, in some institutions, minor service of vehicles. This can embrace a range of specific tasks, including providing services as a relief officer for maintenance shops, labor, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, metal, welding, paint, masonry, service plant, composter and garage (which are considered maintenance activities or part of the maintenance shop) for a CSC institution, and for providing the necessary training to offenders.

➥ OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

➧Must be willing to work overtime and flexible hours.

➧Must be willing to perform duties at any of the locations within the cluster for which this position serves.

➥ CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

➧Security : Reliability status.

➧Must be willing and able to work and lift tools, equipment and objects weighing at least 50 lbs when required (Candidates may be required to pass a physical test in relation to this condition).

➧Must be willing and able to work in a 24 / 7 operational environment.

➧Must possess and maintain a valid provincial driver’s license.
