Join Andaz Ottawa in the role of Assistant Front Office Manager. This full‑time position requires a minimum of 2 years experience as an Assistant Manager or Team Leader in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel environment.

Overview

The Assistant Front Office Manager will work closely with the Rooms Manager to support the day‑to‑day functioning of the Guest Relations, Valet, Night Audit, and Bell Staff. This role leads the front‑office operations to provide seamless and memorable service for every guest, from pre‑arrival to departure, while embodying Andaz values and ensuring timely problem resolution.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Rooms Manager in efficiently managing the department according to the established team goals.
• Delegate tasks and supervise all front‑office colleagues, ensuring duties are carried out with utmost efficiency and professionalism.
• Handle all guest and internal customer complaints in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Encourage colleagues to be creative and innovative, recognising and rewarding contributions.
• Coach and train staff, manage performance, and develop colleague skills.
• Ensure all colleagues deliver the brand promise and provide excellent service to internal and external customers.
• Assist in scheduling to ensure the department is adequately manned based on occupancy, service and cost requirements.

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Assistant Manager or Team Leader in front‑office within a four‑ or five‑star hotel environment.
• Proven experience in supervising, motivating, and training others.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with advanced proficiency in English.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Experience with Opera and Hyatt systems is an advantage.
