We’re hiring a Payroll Administrator to join our growing technology company.
We are seeking a high-caliber, payroll-centric professional to take full ownership of the end-to-end, full-cycle payroll process for a diverse team of 250+ employees. While this role bridges Finance and HR, the core focus is ensuring the absolute accuracy and integrity of our payroll operations. As the primary "numbers expert," you will manage everything from benefit reconciliation and program reporting to supporting broader finance functions like AP and AR. We need a motivated self-starter who can "hit the ground running," maintain rigorous compliance, and operate with total independence.

Requirements
What You'll Do :
- Full-Cycle Payroll : Execute accurate payroll processing for 250+ employees using Payworks, ensuring full compliance with provincial labor standards and internal policies.
- Benefits & Pension Administration : Manage monthly reconciliation of benefits, oversee pension administration, and coordinate the health benefits and employee computer loans.
- Accounts Payable & Credit Reconciliation : Assist with primary AP tasks, including the processing of 200–300 invoices and receipts per month and the monthly reconciliation of corporate credit cards.
- Reporting & Data Analysis : Generate Overtime (OT) reports and perform spend analysis on the employee programs to identify trends in employee utilization.
- Accounts Receivable : Support the finance team with light AR duties and billing as required.
- Entity Support : Provide reporting and support across different Venture Studio entities.
What You'll Bring :
Technical Proficiency : Prior experience with Payworks is highly preferred; familiarity with Xero (or similar cloud-based accounting software) is considered a strong asset.Excel Mastery : Must be comfortable using advanced functions, specifically VLOOKUPs and pivot tables, for data management and reconciliation.Experience : 3–5 years of experience in full-cycle payroll.Autonomy : Proven ability to work independently without heavy reliance on senior management; a proactive troubleshooter.Communication & Customer Service : Ability to explain payroll and benefit nuances to staff clearly, professionally, and with a service-oriented approach.Nice-To-Haves :
Preferred Asset : A functional understanding of AP / AR processes and general accounting principles.Education : A PCP (Payroll Compliance Professional) designation is considered an asset, but not required (candidates currently in progress are welcome).Specialized Assets : Experience with SuiteProjects Pro billing, familiarity with Venture Studio models, or knowledge of Controlled Goods security checks / clearance is highly desirable.Compensation :
