The Municipality of Lambton Shores has a dedicated crew of part time / on call firefighters committed to providing fire protection, prevention, and public education services to the community.

Firefighters play an important role in keeping the community safe from fire and other hazards. Firefighters are required to attend and respond to :

• Medical calls
• Technical rescue calls
• Wildfires
• Motor vehicle collisions
• Weekly or biweekly training nights
• Incidents that are traumatic and could involve members of your community
• Volunteer activities, such as Christmas Food Drives

Recruitment Process

Our recruitment process consists of a formal application, physical ability testing, interview, health and medical testing, and submission of required documents.

Note : Successful candidates will be required to attend mandatory training. The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1001 Certification and other registered training will commence at a date to be determined.
