Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned Oracle Database Delivery Manager to lead and oversee the successful execution of complex database initiatives including upgrades, migrations, and high availability configurations. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Oracle database technologies, a strong background in delivery / project management, and proven experience leading cross-functional teams in enterprise environments. Key Responsibilities :
Lead and manage the delivery of Oracle database-related projects, including upgrades, migrations, patching, and high availability (HA) setup.
Collaborate with application teams, infrastructure and cloud service teams, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of database initiatives.
Oversee the delivery of database support services, ensuring adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and customer satisfaction targets.
Handle incident management, root cause analysis, and proactively drive problem resolution for database-related issues.
Provide expert guidance on database architecture, backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, and automation initiatives.
Implement governance, documentation standards, change management protocols, and quality assurance practices.
Plan and allocate team resources effectively to align with project demands and delivery timelines.
Manage vendor relationships and contracts associated with database tools and support services.
Lead internal and external audits, compliance reviews, and risk assessments pertaining to data security and operational policies.
Required Qualifications :
15+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle database administration, including RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN.
Exposure to other RDBMS platforms such as PostgreSQL and MariaDB is an asset.
5+ years of experience in a leadership or technical delivery role, managing teams or end-to-end projects.
Strong expertise in Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Exadata, and GoldenGate technologies.
Proven success in large-scale database migrations, version upgrades, and resolving complex issues in enterprise environments.
Familiarity with ITIL framework and service delivery best practices.
