Job Description

We’re partnering with an oil & gas services client to hire an experienced Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls Engineer for their Calgary team. Reporting to the Manager of Engineering, you’ll support the design, development, and review of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems across multiple projects—from concept through commissioning.

This role requires strong technical depth, sound engineering judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, vendors, and clients on complex process industry projects.

Who You Are

B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering
10+ years of EIC experience in Oil & Gas or process industries
Strong understanding of electrical, instrumentation, and control system packages
APEGA P.Eng. designation (or eligibility for registration)

What You’ll Do

Prepare and review Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls engineering documents and packages

Develop and review datasheets, P&IDs, control system architecture, narratives, I / O lists, logic diagrams, and FAT / SAT procedures

Provide technical guidance to package managers and junior engineers

Review project specifications and vendor submissions; respond to customer and vendor technical queries

Participate in HAZOP and SIL studies to ensure alignment with design and project scope

Attend technical review meetings with clients and vendors

Support FATs at vendor facilities as required

Travel required, including some international
