What Youll Do

Epic Games is looking for a Senior Hard Surface Artist with significant character and organic experience to join our team. This individual will be working with art design animation tech animation and production to help figure out how we supply a steady stream of character organic and mechanical content on Fortnite. You will create stylized art and push the quality of organic and hard surface mechanical modeling while being a solid communicator and team player. Bring your awesome art to life in this stylized world.

In this role you will

• Create high-quality 3D characters and organics based on concept art and direction from the Art Director.
• Create mechanical models that show a high degree of articulation and animation
• Model high poly low poly and texturing assets including characters creatures weapons pickaxes gliders vehicles and gadgets
• Collaborate with various teams including game play animation tech animation visual effects and tech art
• Create high quality stylized art and high quality models and textures
• Create models that appropriately capture the feeling of the 2D concept art

What were looking for

• World class modeling skills proficiency in 3D software e.g. Zbrush for organics and preferably in e.g MAX for hard surface models
• Solid communicator with an ability to work between disciplines
• Great texturing skills and experience with PBR & materials
• Ability to take 2D concept art to completion
• Ability to create functional articulated mechanical models
