POSITION TYPE FULL-TIME
The Program and Operations Manager, accountable to the Executive Director, oversees the supervision and safety of Rossbrook House programs and operations.
They ensure appropriate staffing is in place to meet the supervision and programming needs of Rossbrook House assigned to them.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ensures high standards of physical and psychological safety for participants and staff at Rossbrook House
- Provides and coordinates on-call coverage as needed
- Schedules senior staff for weekly shifts with regards to supervision and programming needS
- Monitors staffing budget in collaboration with Finance and Admin Manager
- Directs assigned staff to ensure a variety of programs and activities are available to Intermediate Youth participants (ages 13-24 years) that reflect their needs and interests
- Plans effective weekly allocation of funds and resources necessary to deliver programs and activities to youth participants
- Ability to develop and implement successful culturally specific programs and activities
- Recruits staff regarding policies and procedures of Rossbrook House with the Executive Director
- Mentors and provides professional development opportunities for Rossbrook House Employees
- Participates as an active member on Rossbrook House Management Team
- Oversees programming for Youth including 24-hour activities
- Coordinates shift leadership as well as on-call coverage for Rossbrook House
- Directs and coordinates Summer Camp for Rossbrook House participants
- Ensures that all Rossbrook House properties and physical assets are maintained for safety and effectiveness
- Ensures all Rossbrook House vehicles are maintained
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Relevant post-secondary education, a combination of education and experience will be considered
- Prior experience working in the Children and Youth sector
- Experience in grant writing, reporting and resource development
- Conflict resolution skills / restorative practices encouraged
- Prior experience managing / supervising staff
- Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s license and be willing to obtain a Class 4
- Experience in compiling and maintaining statistical data
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to multi-task and manage multiple deadlines
- Ability to identify potential partnerships and strengthen existing ones
- Knowledge and experience with working with in an Indigenous and multi-cultural community
