Position Title : Ski Patrol (Seasonal)

Job Summary : Ski Patrollers play a vital role in maintaining the safety and well-being of guests across all trails, slopes, and base areas at Chicopee. The roles primary responsibilities include injury prevention, emergency response, first aid care, and guest education. Ski Patrollers ensures guests are adhering to safety rules and assists in maintaining a positive and secure environment on the hill.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Maintain valid and up-to-date certifications in first aid and ski patrol requirements
- Provide immediate first aid care and transportation for injured guests using toboggans or other equipment
- Respond promptly to accidents, document incidents accurately, and participate in follow-up investigations
- Educate guests and staff on safety protocols, the Alpine Responsibility Code, and appropriate equipment usage
- Monitor and maintain safe conditions on trails, lifts, and base areas; identify and report hazards
- Set up, maintain, and remove signage, fencing, or markers on terrain as required
- Enforce hill rules and resort policies with professionalism and consistency
- Perform trail sweeps at the beginning and end of each day to ensure the mountain is clear
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and supply levels of the first aid room and other patrol equipment
- Assist in emergency planning and execution for large-scale incidents (e.g., lift evacuations, missing persons)
- Attend all pre-season training, in-season meetings, and mandatory corporate training sessions
- Support other departments as needed during operational demands or emergency situations

Key Qualifications :
Valid Canadian Ski Patrol (CSP) certification, or an equivalent advanced first aid certification recognized in OntarioMust recertify annually through a 16-hour refresher course, written exam, and diagnostic evaluationExcellent skiing or snowboarding ability on all terrain in varied conditionsStrong communication and interpersonal skills; confident in stressful or emergency situationsPhysically able to lift and transport injured guests (up to 45 lbs / 20.4 kg), move equipment, and perform outdoor duties in all weatherDetail-oriented with strong documentation and incident reporting skillsSelf-motivated and comfortable working independently and as part of a teamMechanically inclined or experienced in snow safety equipment use (asset)Bilingual (English / French) is an assetAdditional Requirements :
