Salary : To be commensurate with qualifications and experience in the range of $61483 - $72332 (based on shift schedule which averages 42 hours per week).

What youll do

Responsibilities

Acadia University is seeking a Security Supervisor in our Department of Safety & Security. The incumbent will be required to :

• coordinate and monitor duties of shift personnel (students and / or contracted staff).
• be a first responder to emergency situations including security intrusion fire medical emergencies and hazardous / threatening situations.
• provide traffic and crowd control at events to ensure safety of individuals and property.
• investigate security violations; collect and preserve evidence.
• provide information / guidance to callers and determine requirements for after-hour services and emergency response.
• conduct routine patrols and inspections of residences and academic / administrative buildings for hazards.
• coordinate traffic and parking program.
• monitor intrusion and fire alarms digital video and access control systems and coordinate appropriate responses.
