Required certification:
•Recognized Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)
Required education:
• University Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
Preferred education:
• Master’s degree in Information Technology, Health Informatics, or Business Administration
Required skills:
• Minimum 10 years of recent and relevant experience as a Senior Project Manager
• Minimum 10 years of Project Management experience in the digital health / eHealth space within a Canadian jurisdiction
• Minimum 12 years of IM/IT experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing projects involving Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI) and master data management components
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to travel for face-to-face meetings in New Brunswick
Preferred skills:
• 5+ years managing large-scale eHealth or digital health initiatives
• 5+ years experience in communication planning, coordination, and executive-level presentations
• 10+ years establishing and supporting project governance for effective oversight and decision-making
• 5+ years experience managing large, complex, multi-business-unit projects with extended duration and transformation scope
• 10+ years experience in project monitoring, scheduling, risk management, and change control
• 10+ years leading teams of technical specialists in IM/IT projects
• 10+ years managing vendor and contract governance to achieve project deliverables
• Familiarity with data confidentiality and privacy legislation, particularly NB’s Personal Health Information Privacy and Access Act (PHIPAA)
Overview:
The client seeks a Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in digital health and enterprise master data management. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management, change management, and healthcare IT expertise to lead the implementation.
This role requires a professional with excellent communication, facilitation, and decision-making skills to ensure the successful delivery of complex healthcare projects. The Senior Project Manager will work closely with subject matter experts (clinical and non-clinical), stakeholders, and vendors to ensure project alignment and the achievement of objectives within scope, budget, and schedule
Job responsibilities:
• Lead project planning, governance, risk management, and reporting for HN implementation
• Engage and manage key stakeholders, including clinical, technical, and vendor teams
• Coordinate vendor relationships and ensure contract compliance
• Manage enterprise-level projects impacting the Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI) and master data management components
• Establish and support project governance frameworks to facilitate effective decision-making
• Oversee project execution activities, including scheduling, quality assurance, risk mitigation, and change control
• Ensure alignment between business transformation objectives and technical execution
• Develop and maintain project documentation, reports, and communication plans for stakeholders at all levels
• Provide strong leadership and guidance to project teams across multiple business units and partner organizations
• Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and confidentiality regulations (including PHIPAA)
• Support other departmental initiatives as assigned
