Our banking client is seeking a Senior Data Engineer/Data Modeler (GCP BigQuery) to deliver data solutions for investment and wealth management projects within the financial services industry (%Remote).
Overview:
Two senior contract data resources are needed to support investment and wealth management data initiatives on GCP.
Must-Haves:
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering or data administration
- Strong hands-on experience with GCP and BigQuery
- Strong knowledge of investment data and wealth management data, including what investment data looks like and how it is structured
- Experience in data modelling, including dimensional modelling and enterprise data models
- Experience across the broader data ecosystem, beyond BigQuery
- Strong team player who thrives in a very team-oriented culture
Nice-to-Haves:
- Previous experience in banking, wealth management or investment environments
- Experience working in teams that mix permanent employees and contractors
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for delivering data solutions on GCP BigQuery for investment and wealth management projects
- Responsible for designing and maintaining data models to support investment and wealth management reporting and analytics
- Responsible for applying investment data knowledge to the design and delivery of data work
- Collaborate closely with a team of permanent employees and contractors
- Contribute to project delivery across the wider data ecosystem
