Maintenance / Shipper / Receiver

We are a custom machine shop located in Waterloo that specializes in prototyping/machining in various materials.

Maintenance Duties

Responsible for basic facility upkeep, coordinate equipment or vehicle maintenance, and conduct daily safety checks on tools or forklifts.

Shipper/Receiver Duties

Responsible for verifying and recording incoming and outgoing shipments. Compare identifying information and count or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bill of lading, invoices, orders and other records.

Incoming:

Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Label received material for corresponding job.

Outgoing:

Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. Attach shipping documents (labels, packing slips, etc.) Maintain inventory of shipping material and supplies.

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and have a valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.

Previous working experience in a machine shop and the ability to operate a forklift would be an asset
