Teach Databases I in person at the University of Ottawa using SQL and PostgreSQL expertise during the 2027 winter semester. Support students through tutorials and laboratories.
This Teaching Assistant supports CSI2132 Section B under supervisor V. Kantere. The work includes conducting tutorials, laboratories, office hours, and online responses while helping students understand course material. The appointment runs January 1 through April 30, 2027, with 130 total hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct tutorials and laboratories for Databases I
- Mark assignments, the midterm, and semester project
- Provide office hours and answer questions online
- Proctor the midterm and examinations
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Databases I course material
- Knowledge of SQL programming language
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL DBMS
- Course or equivalent completed with A or better preferred
- Availability for assigned supervision or teaching duties
