Apply building maintenance expertise with Skyline in Barrie, Ontario, supporting residential properties through hands-on repairs and responsive resident service. A full-time role includes rotating weekends and on-call availability.
The Residential Building Operator maintains occupied and vacant units, building systems, common areas, and exterior spaces. You will handle minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and turnover support while coordinating contractors and monitoring service work. The position supports safe, efficient operations and Skyline’s service commitment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete preventative and corrective maintenance in residential units
- Inspect systems, rooms, common areas, and exterior spaces
- Coordinate contractors, trades, and project service work
- Communicate with residents and follow up on concerns
- Respond to emergencies and support property needs
Requirements:
- Three years of relevant building operations experience
- Trade education or equivalent practical experience
- Knowledge of HVAC, fire protection, and life safety systems
- Basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, locksmith, and maintenance skills
- Computer, Microsoft Office, smartphone, WHMIS, and safety proficiency
