Home Support Scheduling Coordinator
Coordinate home support schedules for Northern Health using scheduling software, database systems, and precise timekeeping across rotating shifts in Prince George.
As an experienced Home Support Scheduler, you will support Northern Health’s Home and Community Care department under general supervision. You will prepare schedules from service referrals, adjust assignments under collective agreements, and schedule Community Health Workers as clinicians authorize. The work requires organized communication with clients, families, health care teams, and Community Health Workers. You will also enter data, manage schedule changes, and complete timekeeping tasks through scheduling software. The position supports Northern Health’s community-based care services in Prince George.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop home support service schedules from referral requests
- Adjust schedules according to applicable collective agreements
- Schedule Community Health Workers following clinician authorization
- Enter referrals and service changes into computer systems
- Coordinate work schedules and complete timekeeping tasks
Requirements:
- Grade 12 and recognized Office Administration Certificate
- Two years of recent related experience or equivalent preparation
- Typing speed of 40 words per minute
- Scheduling and database software skills in Windows
- Knowledge of medical terminology and general office procedures
