Consumer Collections Account Specialist

As a BMO Account Specialist, you review delinquent, high risk, and written off accounts for collections opportunities. You advise customers on payment strategies and products, manage transactions, and support loss mitigation. The work also includes reports, dashboards, coaching, training, quality audits, vendor management, and credit collection disputes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review accounts and analyze collection probability
• Advise customers on payment and collections strategies
• Execute loss mitigation processes for high risk accounts
• Handle escalated requests and incoming customer calls
• Develop recovery plans protecting the Bank’s interests

Requirements:

• Three to five years of relevant experience
• Post secondary degree or equivalent education and experience
• Knowledge of Consumer Collections laws and regulations
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and influence skills
• In depth verbal and written communication skills
