Educational Assistant Student Support

Support students each school morning as an Educational Assistant, using flexible assistance and relationship-building skills. Work under teacher and learning coach direction.

This part-time Educational Assistant position follows the school year calendar, with approximately 16.25 hours scheduled Monday through Friday mornings. You will support students with changing needs while encouraging independence across development areas. The work involves relationships with teachers, parents, and the community, alongside collaboration with educational support teams and therapists. Experience with complex needs and grade K-6 students is preferred for this school-based assignment.

• Provide flexible support according to changing student needs
• Facilitate and encourage independence in student development
• Work under classroom teacher and learning coach direction
• Establish effective relationships with teachers, parents, and community
• Collaborate with support teams and therapists when required

Requirements:

• Experience supporting students with physical and cognitive differences
• Experience with social and emotional differences
• Educational Assistant Certificate preferred
• Experience working with grade K-6 students preferred
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check completed within six months
