Laundry Aide Long Term Care

Southbridge Care Homes seeks a Laundry Aide reporting to the Environmental Service Manager. You will sort, wash, dry, fold, and deliver laundry while following cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing procedures. The work supports residents in a long-term care setting and includes maintaining laundry facilities, equipment, and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and sort laundry by type, condition, weight, and classification
• Wash, dry, fold, sort, and deliver laundry to appropriate units
• Report machine malfunctions, chemical levels, and linen shortages
• Maintain laundry facilities, equipment, and supplies
• Preserve resident privacy while performing assigned duties

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Ability to follow established safety practices and procedures
• Capacity for lifting, reaching, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
• Negative vulnerable sector check and required TB screening documentation
