Support prescription processing and customer service as a Pharmacy Assistant at Shoppers Drug Mart. Help maintain accurate, timely pharmacy operations.
This Pharmacy Assistant supports technical dispensing functions and pharmacy services in a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store. The work includes prescription data entry, refill processing, medication selection, and customer transactions. You will follow Pharmacy Standards of Practice while referring clinical inquiries and counseling needs to the pharmacist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather prescription information according to established standards
- Process new prescriptions and refill requests accurately
- Select, count, measure, package, and label medications
- Maintain prescription data within applicable pharmacy systems
- Refer clinical inquiries and counseling needs to pharmacists
Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Pharmacy Assistant accredited course diploma preferred
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Problem-solving and multitasking abilities
