Neurobiology Scientist Drug Discovery

Apply neuroscience expertise to natural product drug discovery as a full-time Neurobiology Scientist at Kapoose Creek Bio in Hamilton, Ontario. This on-site role centers on advanced neural assays.

At Kapoose Creek Bio, the level may range from Scientist to Vice President, depending on experience and team structure. You will expand capabilities in complex neural systems while evaluating novel compounds, building mechanistic insight, and supporting therapeutic strategies for neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders. Collaboration spans microbiology, chemistry, biology, and AI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design advanced neural and neurobiological assay systems
• Evaluate novel compounds using neural models
• Build mechanistic insight in disease-relevant models
• Contribute to targeted therapeutic strategies
• Help shape experimental and program strategy

Requirements:

• PhD or postdoctoral training in neuroscience or related field
• Strong neurobiology experience with in vitro or ex vivo models
• Background in neurological disease preferred
• Impactful scientific work in academia or industry
• Phenotypic screening or electrophysiology experience is an asset
