Part-Time Laundry Aide Kapuskasing

Support clean, safe resident care as a part-time Laundry Aide at Extendicare Home in Kapuskasing, Ontario, using organized laundry practices. Work within the housekeeping and maintenance team while following established protocols.

Extendicare seeks a permanent part-time Laundry Aide to clean, dry, prepare, and distribute laundry. The position supports residents and staff by following policies, procedures, quality assurance, fire safety, environmental, and infection control requirements. You will also monitor equipment, supplies, chemicals, and linen levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and receive laundry according to established protocols
• Clean and dry laundry using designated processes
• Prepare laundry for distribution throughout the home
• Report machine malfunctions to the Supervisor
• Maintain laundry facilities, equipment, supplies, and inventory awareness

Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, squat, reach, and lift linens
• Ability to work safely using established practices and procedures
• Understanding of washer and dryer operations preferred
• Some knowledge of process chemicals preferred
• Strong organization, planning, time management, and multitasking skills
