Purolator Freight Handling Associate

Purolator needs a dependable Freight Handling Associate for weekday mornings in Edmonton, supporting freight movement and delivery preparation.

Working 25 hours weekly, you will help maintain delivery schedules at the Edmonton South Depot. The AM Sorter sorts shipments by destination, weight, size, and shape while handling conveyor, truck, trailer, and curbside vehicle loading. No experience or specialized education is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort freight according to destination, weight, size, and shape
• Unload shipments from trucks, conveyors, and chutes
• Load linehaul trucks, cube trucks, and trailers
• Prepare mail and packages for curbside delivery
• Scan received and shipped items for sorting issues

Requirements:

• No previous experience or specialized education required
• Strong communication skills and technological literacy
• Reliable, punctual, and able to learn quickly
• Ability to carry up to 70 pounds
• Successful criminal record check and safety footwear
