Red Seal Industrial Mechanic Millwright

Apply your millwright training to manufacture, install, and safely repair equipment in facility, offsite, and vessel environments. Overtime may be required.

Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, the Industrial Mechanic or Senior Apprentice performs equipment maintenance and repair. The work includes mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting, plus precision machining. Assignments may occur indoors, outdoors, onboard vessels, within small spaces, at significant heights, or during inclement weather.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manufacture, install, repair, and maintain equipment safely
• Perform emergency repairs and scheduled preventive maintenance
• Machine parts using lathes, shapers, grinders, and specialized tools
• Read manuals, work orders, blueprints, and work layouts
• Complete reports and report faulty operations to supervision

Requirements:

• Red Seal Industrial Mechanic or Millwright training from recognized trade school
• Proficiency in oral and written English
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds unaided
• Ability to follow safety policies and procedures
• Current driver's license and security clearance preferred
